As I lay in the grass while the sun hits my skin, gazing at the blue sky. I start to think about how everyone smiles, laugh everyday. I wonder to myself is it all real? Are the actually really happy? I close my eyes and it finally stops. my mind is clear. I open my eyes looking at the white fluffy clouds everything starts coming back to me. I finally wonder is happiness a illusion?
Waking up it's something we do everyday. Every morning I wake up early but one morning I woke up to see the last star fade away from the sky and the sunrise. It made me remember that I have to fade away from my home . I tried to eat my soggy cereal but i stop and stare to see my family packing slowly, unsure of why we're leaving Denver to California i get up from the table to pick up my favorite hat and boots tripping over bailey because she's confused on what's going on i tell her everything will be okay we have each other. i continue to put on my boots and I put bailey on a leash. Then we leave our home filled with so much memories, clueless to why we're leaving.
This week we continued on our sports magazine. We also read two more articles and annotate after that we had to write a reflection one of the articles was about Who Deserves What, It talked about hoe a cheerleader was being discriminated because of a disability she had and with her disability she had to be in a wheel chair but she still got the crowd excited. The other text was about how sports shape society ans society shape sports.
The first two weeks back to school as a sophomore has been a wonderful time for me. The class I was really looking forward was humanities because I have always found myself learning and exploring more in humanities than any of my other classes. This Semester we are learning about ethics and sports. I enjoy playing sports and new games, during the first two weeks we had discussed as a class the meaning and difference between a sport and a game.
A game has a goal or objective which is also called pre-lusory which is a Latin word. A lusory goal is to win by following the rules. Another word for following the rules is constitutive which is rules that make the game harder. A sport has a physical skill, opponents, stability, and wide following. We had also been reading a text about Aristotle called " Who Deserve What". We had also did a reading long on the article. We had also read and annotated text on Aristotle view on sports. We wrote a reflection about the twenty one century. We created magazine covers on Adobe Photoshop or they were hand drawn using our own pictures and I thought that was pretty cool although I could have saved some time if I didn't make several rough drafts but it did help a lot on how i wanted to make my magazine. |
